Why would hot water be coming out of the hot and cold faucets?

If you do you need to replace valve on machine. If it is a new house they may have tied the hot and cold water together.

That is very very hard to find. You would have to call a plumber for that and then hope for the best. Still try the washer even on new house.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
