I'm not his girlfriend, nor are we friends w/benefit My friend lied to me about sleeping with this girl we both know. He claims it never happened, but other people (including her) say it did. I'm pretty close with him, and I'm confused.
We do a lot of stuff together, but we aren't really dating. We have kissed, but only once and he's never made another move on me. Why doesn't he want me to know about her?
Is he ashamed? Is he trying to date me? I like him, but this has thrown me for a spin.
First, I don't like that he lied. Second, I think it's awful to deny something like that because it must make her feel like crap. Should I confront him?

There could be many different reasons he did not tell you.!. He is a gentleman who doesn't tell about his sexual experiences.2. He is embarrassed.
3. He does like you and didn't want you to know. 4.
He is ashamed. Personally, I don't think it is any of your business. Do you tell him about your sexual encounters?
Some things are better kept to yourself..
Maybe it's simple respect. At the risk of dating myself, when I was growing up I was always taught that "A gentleman never tells". Maybe someone could fill me in on why it should be desirable to have your entire sexual history laid out for the rest of the world to comment on?
I've never been accused of being a prude, but something about the whole tone of your question seems a bit sleazy. Do you guys keep score sheets and compare notes? I always thought it was only immature males that behave that way.
And in the same spirit, why should she (this unnamed other girl) be upset? So maybe your friend just felt that it would be nice not to help in labelling your mutual acquaintance as "easy". Maybe he gets the same sense that I do that you'd like to have him as more than just a friend, and doesn't want to hurt your feelings.

2 Well, he told other people. Thats how I found out.

3 Maybe he is ashamed and doesn't want you to think bad of him. And a true gentleman gets lots of dates, but a blabber mouth goes home alone.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
