Many think it will not be used wisely by the child/kid, same with a situation I was sending money each birthday, it's ut in their bank account, (when I'd rather they took the 20.00 went out and got some sort of gift for themselves to enjoy, since I rarely could get there on their birthday, but parents say no, (or even grand parent dose that one) if they know you have a hobby of some sorts, and you let them know you wish to add to the collection, I feel it should be an open option, (your choice), but that's my opinion only.
You should try to explain to them that you can handle your own money responsibly and that you're not going to become a frivolous spender in the future.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
