First and foremost was to make Obama look bad and get him out of office. They've done a pretty good job and now it time to tell the public at their convention and the world what a horrible president he is and how he has done nothing in his four years in office. The average person won't take the time to look us his record, they will mostly go by what the see and hear on the airways.
I think when the bailout was conceived it produced a problem of blame. Both Republicans and democrats voted for it but both want to deny the institutions that got it didn't deserve the bailout, it just had to be done or a depression would have resulted. As a result a recession developed.
Now the Republicans want to not share the blame but say Obama didn't do enough to get the country out of the economic problems. Its true they use of tea party members have blocked legislation that produced jobs. They are desperately hoping Obama won't get a second term to boost the economy.
They know they can be obstructionist only so long or seats will be lost in the congress again. As far as unemployment extensions, my take is... only the cowards who never did military service are against a working person man or woman getting unemployment compensation extensions. Just as the same are for wars but never ever serve the country.
Same type always!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
