The term blood moon simply means it is a total lunar eclipse. During a total lunar eclipse the moon often has a redish hue. When the Earth eclipses a full moon, the direct sunlight is blocked, but the sun's rays still light up the moon.
This light, however, has travelled through the Earth's atmosphere first, and sometimes causes the totally eclipsed moon to look red. The light traveling through much of the atmosphere is also what causes the sunrise and sunset to have a redish color. The red color that the moon has during a blood moon is basically the light of all the sunsets and sunrises on Earth reflecting off the moon.
What made this last one special was that it was the last total eclipse of the lunar tetrad. Every once in a while, four total lunar eclipses happen in a row. This is a lunar tetrad.
This last eclipse also happened when the moon was at its closest point to the Earth in its orbit. The moon's orbit isn't a perfect circle but more of an elliptical shape. While these things all happening together is pretty rare, it isn't magic or a sign of the end of the world.
It is basic science and a little math. Frankly, the science behind it is much more interesting than any end of the world "prediction.
In the Bible are prophesies of the arrival or return of the Messiah, whose signs will include the moon appearing "as blood". Since the totally eclipsed moon has a sort of reddish color from the sunlight passing through the earth's atmosphere at its edges, some have said that lunar eclipses must be what it refers to. It really doesn't look very much like blood, and so many lunar eclipses happening without the Apocalypse following, that it is kind of nonsense.
The hyping of lunar eclipses as "blood moons" seems to be a fairly recent phenomenon of the internet hungry for sensationalism. It actually seems kind of insulting to believers in the prophesies. If a miraculous new age is portended, then one would expect the prophesied miraculous signs to look noticeably miraculous, not ordinary.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
