It's not impolite. Credulous, perhaps, but not impolite, and the responses were fairly polite as well.

5 There is information which is well and truly classified. (Not all of the things marked TOP SECRET/NOFORN/NO AMERICANS/BURN BEFORE READING THEN SHOOT SELF. But once the information is out, it's out, and you can't take it back.

Wikileaks serves as a repository for such things, one that's going to be essentially impossible to block. It's not even worth trying to. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be prosecuting those who leak genuinely classified information.

Information that could harm the US. Whether this information falls into that category... that's extremely hard to say. I don't think we do ourselves any favors by trying to cover up our mistakes, because it's hard to do so for long.(Which is why I find the idea that the government is capable of hiding massive conspiracies hilarious.) Failing to admit to our errors is what convinces the world that we're capable of even worse atrocities.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
