Funny, I was going to cite commercial egg farms as an example. Commercial egg farms do not have roosters in with their producing hens, because they eat food but produce no eggs.

Some birds will not lay eggs unless they are fertilized. However, many species will lay eggs whether they are fertilized or not. (Often, they will eat the unfertilized eggs.) In the wild, fertilization happens most of the time; there's no particular advantage to shutting off egg production.

In birds, egg production takes a fair bit of time, and there is substantial egg development even before fertilization. Most hens, the egg producers most humans are familiar with, will never meet a rooster.By contrast, cows only produce milk when they have given birth to a calf within the last 10 months or so, so they are made pregnant. Not that they meet with a bull; it's done by artificial insemination.

Birds kept at home as pets will also sometimes lay unfertilized eggs, even alone in a cage. They do so less regularly, since chickens have been bred for frequent egg-laying while those birds have not.

She will but we have discovered that such a female bird feels forgotten, left out and generally unworthy. She obviates these feelings by excessive shopping.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
