Taxes on land and death duties pretty much wiped out the entire Landed Gentry class. Owning land in the UK is very expensive! If you want to pay all those taxes, feel free to make any landowner an offer for their land.

Everyone has a right to own as much land as they like! I don't know what percentage they do altogether, but what I think is bad is all the people living on benefits. At least the aristocracy earn their living from their estates.

I think it's a nice idea to pass a place down generation to generation, and it's a good investment. The old houses are really pretty too. No steve the Civil War was Royalist vs. Parliament and it was about who should be running the country, not a brawl about aristocracy as far as I know.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
