Will humans ever colonize other planets, or the moon?

Certainly. At some point, within the next 100 years, I would say that humans will begin to set up a permanent colony on Mars. As propulsion systems improve, the living conditions on Mars will grow to the point that establishing a true, permanent colony (built under pressure domes) on the planet becomes possible.

This is even more likely if early indications on the abundance of water on the Martian surface are correct. From there, humanity will eventually fan out, establishing colonies on the large, resource rich moons of Jupiter and Saturn. In several hundred years, we may find our local solar system teeming with human life spread out among several dozen colonies.

Now the real trick is if you mean do humans ever colonize any extra-solar planets (planets outside of our own solar system). If human technology is able to substantially break the light barrrier, then the possibility exists of one day colonizing a far-off world. However, if it turns out that breaking the light barrier is impossible, then the odds humanity ever colonizes a planet outside of our own neighborhood drops to almost zero.

Travelling at exactly the speed of light, it would take over 4 years to reach the nearest star. Travel to a new, habitable planet would likely take most of a lifetime! I'd like to think we'll make it out there one day...

You have to realize, life on earth is one big accident and a string of fortunate circumstances. Planet earth orbits the sun in just the right distance for humans to adapt to the climat (-40 / +55°C) this also means that plants can survive, which gives us the 02 to live, also our atmosphere is unique! Unless you can find a planet in an other solar system that has the exact same qualities as ours, life on it wouldn't even be possible and you're talking about colonizing?

Even if you find such a galaxy, you'd die before you get there So no, it's not possible.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
