So by implication, Dawkins was saying that Christians do evil things in the name of Christianity. If that isn't biased, then my @ss is a Banjo.
When christians tortured and burned "witches," they did so in the name of their god. When islamists flew airplanes into buildings, they did so in the name of their god. Atheism has no gods, no dogma, no leaders, therefore, an atheist cannot do anything in the name of atheism.
To say that a person did something in the name of atheism -- i.e. Being without a belief in a god or gods -- would be like saying that a person did something in the name of "aleprechaunism" -- i.e. Being without belief in leprechauns.
There is, quite simply, no atheist book that contains instructions or justifications for any act, good or bad. We are not followers. We are individuals.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
