Will the USAs dramatic last minute win against Alegeria in the 2010 FIFA World Cup inspire the nation to watch soccer?

I think the dramatic comeback against Slovenia and win against Algeria help improve the popularity, but making it a little further would really help immensely. Still, America's love for football will probably keep it from getting huge. Honestly, I think soccer popularity in the US is increasing slowly, but steadily.

The US team has had good success recently in the World Cup and last year in the Confed Cup and MLS seems to be doing well also. Soccer is a great sport for HDTV and with a little success here in South Africa, I do think the popularity will continue to grow in the right direction.

Yes. Due to the presence of Clinton and win against Algeria inspire the nation to watch soccer.

It's definitely a good start. ESPN has been broadcasting the World Cup pretty much non-stop, and talking about it on all of their news programs. The fact that the games are during the day makes a huge difference, because ESPN is choosing to show the World Cup rather than whatever else it might play in that time slot.

Then, with the replays of the exciting parts, such as Donovan's goal, it does make the game more appealing to people who are not used to soccer. However, if the USA is able to somehow win the Ghana game, which is being played now, than it will definitely make a huge difference in the USA.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
