Will this pc run battlefield 3 on ultra settings smoothly?

Let me start out by saying that your processor is beast. Nothing comes close to beating the i5 2500k in that price range ( if you plan on overclocking, be sure to have a p67 motherboard since that is the only way to overclock sandybridge processors, almost positive). I wish I could afford one, but whatever.

8gb of ram will be more than enough for BF3 and if you haven't chosen a brand, I would recommend the Ripjaw X 8g (2x4gb) 1333mhz dual channel which is great for gaming. Your GPU really packs a punch and meets the recommend hardware for BF3. Now whether or not you can play on Max is an entirely different thing.

Your res your playing at has a huge effect on the gameplay, lower res more fps obviously. I would imagine you could play on max. If not, then close to max. If you could spare an extra 100$ or so, then you should buy a GTX 570 which should be able to play max at high res. I myself chose a MSI N560GTX ti twin frozr 2gb MO which is a beast GPU nearly as powerful as the GTX 570 factory at a comfortable price of 270$ on Newegg, 60+$ cheaper than the GTX 570.

My GPU should be able to play max with high res or very close if you choose that route. The 2gb GPU should help in future games with high res textures. No matter what you chose, I am sure you will be happy.

Good luck.

Lets do a comparison, I have athlon II x4 3.0ghz, 4gb ram, and Gtx 460 running at 1600x900. I can run Bf3 at ultra high settings with 30-50fps. So basically that specs is more than enough maybe you will get 60+ fps.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
