Everyone thinks men just want sex in general only, and so it confirms their stereotypes that men do. There is not an equivalent stereotype for women. Instead, if a woman is sexual, they will be called a slut.
Men are expected to be sexual and that's seen as "normal", but at the same time many people dislike that and so what I said before with confirming stereotypes becomes true and brings up angry emotions about it. As I've learned in my college psychology course, it's a self-fulfilling prophesy when one has stereotypes of a group. The people who are being stereotyped are having to think about the stereotype more since they want to avoid it, but usually thinking about it will cause the behavior to happen more, even if you're thinking about it to stop.
Usually, to actually stop a behavior, one naturally has to stop thinking about it, not think about stopping it. Ironically, the very same chapter in my psychology textbook mentioned how 90% of violent crimes are committed by men... not so sure that will help drop the number down any by mentioning that :P.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
