Technically Perry was right - the stimulus SAVED 3.7 million jobs, but it wasn't enough once the Tea Party got a grip on the House! Obama's stimulus worked well and given that the Tea Party is and WILL continue to block anything that would make Obama look good, the battle for the American 'people' is right on the doorstep of the White House. The Tea Party are a renewal of the Confederates and Obama and his Democrats represent the 'Union' forces.
It's as simple as that! It doesn't get any worse! The ONLY difference is that the REAL 'American' patriots in the Republican Party CAN AND SHOULD stand with the president for the sake of the country against this band of n'er-do-wells!
Rick Perry is a dangerous moron so this is not a defense of him but the truth of that statement depends on how you are defining your terms. It's true that the state took resources from society and directed them toward specific employable projects but it is not true that the state created the source. The resources necessarily had to be stolen from taxpayers and through debt and inflation to be able to be directed towards a state project in the first place.
If you had a pile of bricks and I stole those bricks and built a house with them did I deserve credit for my creation. Maybe you could have made better use out of your bricks. Praising the creation of government jobs ignores how those resources could have otherwise been spent had people had the freedom to do with as they chose.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
