Will you bother to look for questions to answer on Mahalo if they don't get rid of the new Anonymous feature?

Like @jeffhoard said, he's been doing a great job of trying to get rid of the crap Anon questions and once MA gets its makeover, we'll have filters in place for the anon, conundrum, twitter and other questions. For now, we just have to hope our VALID questions don't keep getting knocked off the front pages by these. That's what sucks: when we have a valid question about something, about Mahalo, or want to start a debate or discussion and our question gets shoved if we don't tip it.

Sure, adding a tip is great, but why can't more people answer tipped and non-tipped questions the same.

I've actually been spending the better part of the last two days vanishing any and all nonsensical anonymous questions that appear. I might miss a few but I am relying on those to help out by clicking the "Report" button. We've always had nonsensical questions they are simply increasing now because of the increased activity on Mahalo Answers... Which I think is a good sign....but in truth is..it does make me work harder, I am falling behind in many of my other duties as I am practically glued to the front page vanishing and fixing grammar. As Community Manager I want to do the most to ensure every bodies question gets asked, if somebody has poor English I won't punish them, I will simply edit the question for them, at the end of the day when all is scrubbed and cleaned the Anon questions bring in 5 times the amount of questions Mahalo got previously and for every bad Anon question we receive, we are getting 5 good legitimate questions.

I ask for perspective, understanding and help during this experiment. If you see a bad question just click the "report" button, we'll get rid of it. Mahalo Answers is up for a major renovation soon and you will have filters, so you block out Anon questions in the future.

Until then we thank you for your patience.

I've noticed the 404 messages when opening many of the nonsense questions, and I have been reporting those which do open up. I'm happy to hear from @JeffHoard they're working on filtering them. I'd for having these questions for the following reasons: - It increases the number of questions (real ones) significantly.

- It allows people to ask questions they'd otherwise be shy about asking. Here are the things I'd like Mahalo to implement to make their lives and ours easier with these questions, given the high spam ratio: - Set up automated filters to catch and bring to Mahalo staff's attention questions that are likely to be reported anyway (e.g. Hate-speech, porn-related words and terms, etc.). The staff can then check and see if these are legitimate questions or not.

- Have questions that were auto-filtered removed temporarily from the "spy" feature and the MA pages. If the questions are later reinstated by staff, they can go back in. - Set things up so when a question is deleted for good, it is removed from the "spy" feature, as well as from the MA page, so we don't keep trying to open bad questions to report them.

Sorry, we couldn't find the page you were looking for. Maybe you'd like to try searching for it?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
