Mitt Romney / Marco Rubio. Romney could win Michigan and perhaps steal some blue New England states, while Rubio picks up the TEA party vote, some of the Hispanic vote, and the crucial state of Florida. Rick Perry / Paul Ryan.
Even though Perry could be damaged by his immigration views (and hence need Rubio on the ticket), Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan could be a better pick. Perry has also been hit on his views on Social Security, and Ryan could put his plan in the spotlight, and stand by it and sell it to the American public. Paul Ryan is a really smart guy, he has been in the middle of a lot of stuff in the last several years, and Republicans are lucky to have him.
Herman Cain / Newt Gingrich. I've always wanted to see Newt on the ticket in some way. Newt would be a great VP pick for Cain because Cain has zero political experience, and Gingrich is the sharpest, most experienced guy the Republicans got.
Whatever political experience Cain has, Gingrich would make up for it in droves. I would not like to see Cain win the nomination, but with Gingrich as a VP I would vote Republican in a heartbeat. Gingrich is especially good here because he has experience in Congress when Republicans gained the majority in 1995.
He would know how to work with Congress as a VP. He would be a perfect pick for Cain. Wait... Dang Gingrich can't be Cain's VP, because both are from Georgia, and by law a President cannot pick a VP from the same state.
Drat! ... So I would say Mike Huckabee or Mitt Romney. Either would bring the political experience Cain needs.
Too bad Gingrich can't run with him. Ron Paul / Gary Johnson. I would probably not vote for this duo, but they would make the best ideological fit.
Both are serious small-goverment advocates. But I just do not see Ron Paul being nominated by the Republican Party. His foreign policy views just kill him among Republican voters (though it does help him with Democrats).
The best thing you can do with Ron Paul: have Obama nominate him as his VP.
I think Rubio would be a great fit. Cain would be a great fit as well if he doesn't get the nomination. Other than that I don't really know.
Its too far out to think about this. We have to get the nominee first and then worry about the vp.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
