It sounds like you already know how to set things up the way you like it, but you want to avoid doing it for every folder. So here's what you do: Go ahead a choose any folder and set it up the way you like: + click VIEW to choose icons, details, sort by, group by, etc. + VIEW > CHOOSE DETAILS to select or deselect display details Once you have everything the way you want it: + click TOOLS > FOLDER OPTIONS > VIEW tab > APPLY TO FOLDERS = once you click YES to confirm, this will make all folders use the same view. You can also change other details (extensions, system files, thumbnails, etc) before clicking APPLY TO FOLDERS.
