As Chicago Bears fan it is also hard not to think of Rick Mirer who we traded a 1st round pick for...at least you guys basically got your money back for Mirer. Bears worst 1st round picks: Cade McNown 1999...a clown from the start...very poor unprofessional attitude...limited talent...bust from the get go. John Thierry 1994...undersized tweener...was gone from the team in 2 years...never did much.

Stan Thomas 1991...sucked from the get go...ended up getting shot outside a Del Taco. Marc Columbo 2002...injured from the start...never played much for the Bears...did play ok for the Cowboys last year. Curtis Enis 1998...looked ok at first but got injured towards the end of his rookie season and never recovered.

Rashaan Salaam 1995...pot smoking rotten RB...never did anything in the NFL. Ugghhh lots of bad first rounders...

For the lions their are just too many we can start with WR charles rogers 2003 he got hurt and never recovered, QB JOEY HARRINGTON 2002 was a bust just couldn't make it into the nfl he was great in college, OB andre ware 1991 plain and simple just couldn't play, and my last one QB rodney pete 1989 a complete bust couldn't play and was hurt all the time. So as far as I'm concerned the lions will not pick the right position or players this time but I could be surprised...If they are offensive minded and pick for there line and save the QB and running backs. I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
