With the new one-step voting system, what happens if you answer a previously unanswered question that is more than 5 days old?

I have not answered any old questions since the new system was implemented but one of our users @thomas_k has and has told in another thread that after answering them they went almost immediately to auto-NBA and he actually added a few votes to the answers of other users older but recently answered questions to help save the lives of those answers from the auto-NBA. ~quote From what I saw, if there was more than one hour to play with the answerer would be lucky. :) Unfortunately a lot of new users won't be aware. ~endquote(mahalo.com/answers/mahalo-answers-commun... 1) It would seem to me that answering older question would be at best just for the fun of answering them and it probably would be best for Mahalo to delete them (which in my experience they will not) or we as users to avoid answering them unless we have a burning desire to answer a particular older question. Ethical?

I do not know if we have defined an ethical standard here yet but it certainly would be smart to take a look at defining what an ethical standard should be in these older question answer traps and if they should be removed. I vote for delete the questions. :).

We have recently changed the functionality of questions so that the closing countdown doesn't begin until the question is answered. Let us know if this isn't working correctly.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
