No one is "giving" anyone any cuts. The vote was to leave intact existing subsidies to the entire industry, not just Exxon. Big difference.
Oil companies base their prices on the costs they pay for the commodity. Commodity prices go up, oil companies charge higher prices. Profit margins have been stable for decades, 9-10%, which is pretty reasonable.
If the prices are higher, the profits based on those prices are higher provided the gross sales stay consistent. Pretty simple concept. Want to hurt the oil companies?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
