Are you kidding sure Woman can climb. Lynn Hill is still one of the most accomplished rock climbers to date, Steph Davis is also a very accomplished climber. The First Canadian to climb Everest was a female.
I believe the first 2 females to climb the 14 8000ers which are the only 14 summits in the world over 8000 meters did it last year. If you work hard enough yes you could climb the Nose of El Cap in under 5 hours a climb that the average climber does in 2-3 days, some even taking up to 7 days, or you could climb some of the hardest most death defying mountains in the world. I think the only reason men do these kinds of extreme sports more is because of testosterone.
So more guys are looking for that buzz of adrenaline. It has nothing to do with strength, some of the best rock climbers are scrawny weaklings because it is all about technique. When holds get small or you have monos, and overhangs forearm, finger, and arm strength play a bigger role.
But if you can lift your weight your arm strength is sufficient. The finger and forearm strength will just happen. I have had huge muscle men come into the climbing gym.
I am standing under a 5.13 climb, they come beside me on another 5.13 ask me what its graded I tell them and they started to laugh. Of course I got up without a hitch they couldn't get there foot off the first hold. I am one of those scrawny guys that is why they laughed.
They never climbed before just read about it and assumed it was strength. I continued to embarrass them in the climbing cave. Also I am a male so I am not saying this for like girl power or anything, I am just being honest.
Check out Steph Davis though I think she will inspire you allot. Right now probably the biggest adrenaline junkie female out there. She is also the only female to free climb 5.11+ grade climbs.
Daila Ojeda the girlfriend of Chris Sharma is also an amazing climber. She can regularly ascend 5.14s.
Actually, women make much better climbers than men, especially younger ones. Climbing is more about balance and technique than strength, and some of the best climbers in the world are women. Edit: To?
: Lynn Hill was not the first person to climb the nose. Warren Harding climbed it for the first time in '58. Hill became the first person to free climb the nose in 1993.
Although free climbing it was no small accomplishment, by that time, there had been hundreds of people to have climbed it using fixed pro.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
