Would a leading TEA Party or Republican Candidate admit a black man into their country Club who disagrees with?

I agree with the Tea Party in a couple of areas. We need to get our country's fiscal house in order. I am willing to say we need to look at reducing overall tax rates, but we need to broaden taxes as well.

I agree we need to simplify the tax code and do some serious cost/benefit analysis on the implementation of regulations and use market-based solutions to fix problems as those are more sustainable over time. That is about where I end with them. I think the crazier elements of the Tea Party will be its undoing and perhaps the undoing of the Republican Party for years to come.

I do not know how you reconcile the idea of limited government with round up all the illegal immigrants and militarize the US-Mexico border, ban gay marriage, put Christian prayers back in public schools, launch a war with Israel's enemies, ban abortion, and stop all biological research which violates the tender sensibilities of my constituent groups. Sounds like Big Government to me! I think the coalition will eventually fracture.

There are a few Republicans like Meghan McCain--and mostly younger folks like her-- who are conservative on economic issues and favor a market-based system, but are socially libertarian, and even liberal at times--okay with gay marriage, etc. In a way, you gotta love 'em, but I fear they are spitting in the wind. They may end up either being Party-less or Democrats-by-default if Perry, Bachmann and the like take over the GOP. The evangelicals will never fully except an LDS candidate.

Go into an evangelical bookstore and survey the books on why Mormonism is a cult or even Satanic. It would be hard to reconcile that.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
