I have personal thoughts on this subject. My husband and I have been married for 15 years and are friends with a couple that has recently stepped into this world. My husband and I are easy to talk to and there are not really any subjects that make us feel uncomfortable.So, our dear friends have spoken with us, in great detail.
My opinion is that our friends have been having problems in their marriage and he wants to experiment sexually and she is in fear of losing their marriage, so she has agreed. They have been open about being with other couples and swapping partner's and inviting a single woman into their bed. I do not think she is happy and I do believe he enjoys it.
I see disaster in the future. I do not really see how having an open marriage can make the marriage better. Even if a marriage is rock solid, you run the chance of your spouse falling for someone else, as you all are in such an intimate place.
You run the risk of someone else falling for you, as well. You even run the risk of a stalker. Not to mention the risk of disease.
This is just my personal opinion and I am sure there are many people that disagree, and believe being swingers can make their relationship better. On the other hand, I suppose if a couple was playful and open sexually and had one night of fun that led to having a girl or couple in their bedroom, and all had fun, it might be an experience they look back on and never regret, but that is really if it is just a one time event and not a lifestyle. Just my thoughts!
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
