Not living up to your race or ethnicity's stereotypes concerning speech, clothing and taste in music isn't disrespectful of your culture. I feel as if it's more disrespectful of black-American culture to simply narrow it down to Hiphop, slang and clothing when even things considered "acting white" such as Rock N' Roll, Jazz, Blues, Soul etcetera are all musical genres which originated in the black-American community in the early 20th and very late 19th centuries. You should tell your friends that next time they accuse you of not being "black enough".
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
