Yes, but only if I know where about he/she will be for the evening and if I know who he/she will be hanging around. I wouldn't extend it by more than an hour and I would require that he/she check in at least once and definitely call if there is ANY chance they will be late.
Well, if there were something special going on like a holiday celebration and I knew where she'd be and that there would be adult supervision, then I probably would give her some extra time. Parents need to set limits, but give kids a break every once in a while! They're turning into young adults and need to know what's going on in the world.
We can't protect them forever, and they'll appreciate their parents more for bending the rules once in a while, when the situation calls for it. If it happened to be on a school night, I'd require them to be home early enough to get a decent night's rest for the next day.
Yes, I'd change the curfew for Halloween AND Devil's Night! Devil's Night, curfews get shortened. Even if I trust the kid, it's just not a good idea to be out with friends after 9pm on Devil's Night.
Halloween, on the other hand, is a very special holiday! And pending full approval of plans, I would allow my kid to stay out an extra hour or so to enjoy the holiday. Halloween isn't especially associated with trouble (around here, anyway) or problems. So I'd feel very comfortable letting her put her costume to good use and have a little fun.
Hopefully that'll make up for me being a total lame-o on Devil's Night!
Fuck no let them have fun there not guna be teens forever dumasses.
Unless he or she has done something recently to deserve having a different curfew there would be no reason to change it. Mostly it comes down to how well you trust him or her.
Yes better. :) Adjust it a little bit though it shouldn't be so late either. This is better so your child could enjoy trick or treating.
This could also be a positive sign cause it shows that you're starting to trust him/her. :) I hope you child enjoys and oh, happy halloween to him/her. :).
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
