It all depends on the living cost and quality of the new country. I live in 3rd world country and we get very low salary when compared to developed countries, but it is enough to support our lives. If we move to Canada, US, or other expensive countries, we might have to make up to 5 or 10 times our current salary to live as comfortably as we do now.
Also, I will never consider a country which living condition and security is worse than mine (after all, ours are pretty bad already). Salary is relative and I found out by experience that you should enjoy your work to make you happy, not just for money.
Yes I would go. I think opportunities come along so seldom that it would be worth it. That experience would be amazing and it might even open other doors to see more of the world. It would give my children a reason to travel outside the United States to visit us.
It would depend on the country, but it might be worth considering. Also, you wouldn't necessarily have to uproot your current life. You can always rent or buy a second residence instead of actually leaving the country you live in.
However, if the country's traditions or day to day way of life were substantially different, that would likely be a reason to abandon the idea.
I would...as long as it was not a permanent move, and I could eventually come back home. Living in a new place and making triple the income would be awesome, but I would miss my family way too much to do it forever. No amount of money is worth time spent with them!
In the beat of a humming bird heart. I actually moved to Germany once already with him for half a pay cut rather than raise lol well plus room and board. One of the best experiences I've ever had.
I love Alaska, but I love travel and new places even more. The three times the pay? Just a great bonus.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
