Would you rather be drop-dead gorgeous, or absolutely brilliant?

That is one heck of a question. Perspective and what you want play a good deal into which answer would fit you so I am going to give two answers. One for each side.In todays society, well American at least, there seems to be so much emphasis placed on beauty.

It is sought after and rewarded. We have all heard the singer who is terrible but looks so good. Face it, they can make anyone with have a voice sound decent.

Plus people are such visual creatures and it is our dominate sense so we pay more attention to it than our others. Beautiful people get opportunities not based on merit. I am not saying this is an absolute thing but we know it does happen.

They statistically make more money for the same jobs and get more favorable judgments in courtrooms and so on and so forth. Brilliance on the other hand opens up doors to fulfillment and understanding that beauty alone cannot achieve. It allows you freedom to achieve without the need for aid. There is a certain joy to discovering life's mysteries.

I love the challenge of a mental of philosophical problem. So the gist of it is, if you want an and need personal relationships to help you along in life then it would be beauty. If you are more independent then brilliance is for you.

I have looked at this question of yours and thought about it several times now, but I honestly cannot bring myself to choose either one. So, I'd take the gorgeous ticket and the brilliant ticket, and trade them both for one ticket to just being a decent human with the drive to do my best. I don't need to be an absolute genius in order to study and become knowledgeable and skilled in the things that interest me or to earn a living.

I certainly don't need to be stunningly beautiful to have love, imagination and laughter in my life. Even if it's just in my own little corner of the universe, I am glad to be who I am, and I guess I'm just not interested in the extremes when it comes to this sort of thing. Life without being a beauty queen or the queen of Mensa hasn't wrecked me or my existence so far, and I imagine I'll continue to get along just fine with what I do bring to the world.

I'll choose to be me. I know it won't come with a crown but maybe I can still have some candy for a sweet reward. ;) youtube.com/watch?v=Nl4SRVXgGiI flickr.com/photos/mikelowe/ / CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 flickr.com/photos/mikelowe/30711608.

I would like a mix of both! I want to be average in both looks and intelligence. If I was super beautiful, I could never be sure if I was liked because of myself.

I'd always wonder if the man just wanted me on his arm to be a trophy. If I was super intelligent everyone would be asking me to answer questions, and well I don't wanted to be liked because I have all the answers. A mix of the two suits me well.

Well, considering the fact that I've never been drop-dead gorgeous, but HAVE had some small experience with being an intelligent, thinking creature, I'd probably decide to stick with what I know. Brilliance, it is! :D.

It has been said over and over through the years "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" I have to agree with that 100%, what one person calls drop dead gorgeous may be dog ugly to someone else. I also strongly believe it is what is in the persons heart and how they act and treat others that determines just how gorgeous they are. For example think of someone that Hollywood views as drop dead gorgeous then picture that person as a total and complete jerk (putting it nicely) always rude to the people around them, not caring who they hurt with what they say and do, in my opinion that person is dog ugly no matter how their outside looks. So to answer this question give me brilliance.

I would want to be absolutely brilliant. I am the kind of people that things that beauty is just a matter how you present yourself. If you're smart, you can find logical way to enhance your appearance, like choosing the right cosmetic and dress smartly to make yourself look more attractive.

Some people such as Michelle Obama or Oprah Winfrey, or some of the not typically beautiful celebrities in my country might not look attractive at all if they don't have character and can't choose the right make up and dresses for themselves. For that, you need intelligence. If you're brilliant, you can also make a lot of money, which in turn, you can spend to make yourself look beautiful.

You might not look like a model, only enough to make yourself look tasteful and classy. That, paired with your mind and character, will make you shine through countless beautiful girls with no brains.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
