Stone Cold easily by a land mark. Biggest difference between The Hulkster & The Rattle Snake was Austin didn't come out of the blue to win the WWF title when hardly anyone knew who he was. Granted, it was a different era & Hogan was there to begin the revolution, but Hogan?
He's at the bottom of this list in my book. You saw one Hogan match you saw them all. Cena still manages a bit of variety in his 5 years on top.
Hogan lasted between 1984 - 1991 before the fans were tiring of him & began boo'ing him at the 91 Survivor Series over heel Undertaker. From there, it was all hype based around his 1st 6 years along with a long break from wrestling, a cup of coffee in the WWF in 1993 where he bombed as WWF champion and then a short stay in WCW as the Real American before he was forced to turn heel. Stone Cold Steve Austin was bled out of a stone at WrestleMania 13 & that blood came to be known as The Rattle Snake, who revolutionised the entire business with the rebel hero but more specificlly was extrememly successful doing it.
Cena resisted up till now, rebelling and giving in to his boo's and remained face and became even popular because of it whilst adopting his "never back down" persona... Cena never backed down to his fan critics & that created a stubborn figure head hero who could be seen as a role model for not quitting. Cena is like the reverse of Steve Austin whilst trying to be Steve Austin (as well as The Rock)... which was why he was boo'd in the 1st place. I will say this tho for Cena, this guy will out last both Austin & Hogan because Cena has longevity.
If that counts for anything, then I guess Cena will one day be the ultimate face of WWE, but for now, Steve Austin is still the number 1 face in WWE history. BQ1: Nothing's happened to all the excitement on Monday Night Raw. Well not unless you want to bring the whole PG thing into it & blow that out of proportion.
I just don't know what fans like you asking is wanting... Personally, I think Cena vs Barrett, and the stipulations surrounding their match at HIAC is exciting... maybe that's why everyone's talking about it. Plus, Raw is still jericho & he's fixing on revealing who the Raw GM is.... that's something else everyone was talking about... is that not exciting? Daniel Bryan as US champion with his great exciting new theme musi..... okay bad example... But we do have Randy orton raising hell every week!
Seeing as the WWE is acting like Hogan never did anything for the company, I'd say Austin.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
