Yahoo web mail-anyone else having problems?

I have both paid (through AT&T Internet) and free Yahoo accounts. Lately the new mail notifications on all of them have been way off.It will say I have no new mail on the front page (My yahoo) and when I go into the mail page, I'll have half a dozen. Or it will say I have lots of new mail, and I have none.

Yes, lately it has been *really* flaky. I've been noticing a lot more problems lately as more of the newer features have been added. There are lags in notifications (or none at all), and there have even been a few times when I just couldn't even get into the account because I'd get a "page cannot be found" error.

Like you, it wasn't any of my computers but their website and mail program. I've contacted support, but when I get the response a day later, it's either temporarily working again, or I don't feel like bothering since it seems to all be canned responses. I really used to love Yahoo, and I do hope that this gets sorted out.

1 I won't waste a slot on this, GB. My wife was having lots of problems getting to Yahoo! Mail last night, through the web client.

She was able to get to the Yahoo! Home page and other websites without problems, so it appears that the problem was with Yahoo's servers. I'm not sure how it's working for her today, but we use gmail to keep in touch.So I don't think you are the only one.

2 There wasn't this problem until SBC merged with AT&T - at least here in the Southlands. There are times I can't even open the mail on SBC/AT&T/whatever/Yahoo. But, when I go through Yahoo direct from work I have no problems.My personal thought - its AT&T's fault and I can guarantee you as soon as I have a lot of free time - over December break - AT&T can take a flying leap and I'll sign up for service with someone else.

I'm watching this to see if anyone else has the same problems and what their thoughts are.

3 Since I started using the internet in 1994, I've gone from SNET (Southern New England Telephone--the "baby bell" of my area) to SBC to Yahoo and now back to AT&T (as the baby bells all come back together)--and it's still the same account. It's frustrating. I don't even know who to contact--whose fault is it?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
