Yes, it does. I have seen big signs in sone of the larger public markets in Australia saying spitting is prohibited. And I believe that it should be everywhere.It causes unpleasant reactions in people and is tantamount to being that of the lowest form of human behaviour in a public place.

People who do that need to be re-educated about the ideas regarding civility and what is acceptable in polite society, even if it means doing so via electrodes attached to their heads. No such need for electrodes in Singapore, if memory serves me correctly. I recall reading that if you spit on the sidewalk there, and you get caught, you will be fined and have to pay a large sum of money.

Not sure what that says about Singaporians as a whole, if they actually need such laws to be implemented in the first place, but regardless of that, it is a good law IMO and should be used elsewhere. Humans should, at every juncture, act like civilised beings and not uncouth peasants and animals. Sources: My opinion based on my knowledge of events and experience.

Also, on television I just hate watching baseball and you're trying to eat and the guys are spitting pretty much non-stop! So gross! Do guys think is the manly thing to do?

2 If you MUST spit, do it discretely, like behind a tree or bush or even a parked car. It's not much effort but people still do not seem to make that effort.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
