BUG?: Sometimes when I look at undecided questions I can see who voted for which answer before I vote myself. Is this a bug?

flickr.com/photos/33749589@N07/3401599937/ I don't think it's a bug, but I do think it was an oversight by the bigwigs after they implemented the transparent voting. In my opinion transparent voting doesn't work in the case the Undecided Voting feature because it could alter peoples decision when they see what others have already voted for. I think those votes should be hid until after the you have voted on that question.

Definitely a good catch, I think we should hide this until after the best answer has been decided. I will pass it along.

I'm a new member, and that is how it was when I started here. So I just assumed it was working as intended. Although, I do think they should be hidden. It doesn't seem very...democratic this way.

It seems more along the lines of, "Okay, class, show of hands..." Which is very childish.

That's a GREAT point! It's not a bug, but it's a part of the implementation of seeing how other people have voted that might not need to be there. It would sure influence me... You might want to let MA@feedback know....

Sometimes I can see how people have voted on the question, other times not. In the latter case I do know how some votes have been cast anyway from Spy or from people's profiles. Questions: 1) Is this a bug?

Which behaviour is correct, to show or not to show? 2) Does it influence your vote to know how others voted? For myself, try as I might, I am certainly influenced by knowing how certain people voted.

For example if @jeffhoard or @robbrown voted for an answer, I will tend to assume it must be a good one. I'll still try to assess it independently, but I will be starting off with a preconception. Sometimes I can see how people have voted on the question, other times not.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
