14th Birthday Party Ideas? House Party?

My son turned 1 last December. I had his birthday party at Chuck E Cheeses. I brought my own cake though, because I do not like the birthday cakes they provide.

I payed for a birthday party, you could just go there and have the party there, but if you plan on having a lot of people you need to reserve a party and pay so that you have tables and chairs for everyone. If you just show up you are limited to whatever seating is available. I went with the super star package it cost's $15.99 per child and you have to pay for atleast 4 kids, so that is $63.96, if you go with the star package it is $10.99 per child and that would be $43.96.

Also if you pre- order pizza's at the time that you make the reservation they are less expensive. I bought 2 pizza's when I made the reservation. I also bought 2 more pizza's at the party, and 3 orders of the salad bar.

With the reservation and the childrens package you get atleast 1 free pizza. I believe I paid for 6 of the superstar kids party package, at $15.99 per child. There were more than 6 kids at the party, but I just issued out the favors between the kids.

Also with the superstar package you get many more tokens per child. I put all of the tokens into a cup, or 2. I gave each child a few, and their parents bought them more, the kids, my husband, and I, and of the other family members all had a great time playing games.

Eating and hanging out. I would suggest to you, if you do have a party at Chuck E Cheese's bring your own cake, bring your own cups and drinks (soda or juice), because the cups at chuck e cheese's are I think $2.50 each, and I spent so much on cups! Even though its all you can drink, it is expensive.

So either tell people to buy there own, or bring cups, and drinks. My husband and I found a place here in our town that is a giant indoor bouncy house, for adults and children, that is where we are taking our son for his 2nd birthday. Here is the link to Chuck E Cheese's website so you can see the prices and see the differences.

Also we had our sons party later in the evening on his actual birthday, I believe it was a Thursday or Friday, anyways it was at 7:30 and as soon as we got there all the other parties were ending so we got to have the entire birthday area to ourselves! It was really fun and great memories. I ended up spending over $300.00, but you can get by on way less if you plan it out better than me.

Bring drinks and cups, pay for pizza ahead of time, and don't pay for other peoples salads, and soda cups, also bring your own cake, just buy the party package for 4 kids, all these things will really help you to save more than I did. All in all it was a good time. Im sure you will figure out a great birthday party for your little one, as long as everyone is there it will be great.

Best wishes and God bless you.

Picnics are really nice. And just ask everyone to bring a plate of food. It would hardly cost anything.
