If the noise is coming from the fuel tank, I would say the pump is wearing out and you should budget for its replacement.

Try and reset your fuel pump switch. Should be located in the luggage compartment under the carpet. You should see a rubber cover. Press the raised area of the rubber cover to reset the fuel pump.?
