A simple MySQL query taking forever (more than 20 minutes!)?

You are joining the indicators table to the instruments table, and the indicators. Instrument_id column is not indexed.

I am suspicious of joining on the stockdata.name field. Do you have the right indexes defined on the name field in the stockdata and instruments table? Is it possible that joining on the name could be returning invalid results and you could join on another .

Id field?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
