Used... yes. New... no. Windows by itself is $100, a decent graphics card is at least $100 and closer to $160 for the kind of fps you want, a decent psu is $50-$60, a budget case is $50, a DVD drive is $20 and hard drives prices are high due to Thailand flooding.
And we haven't even looked at CPU, motherboard and RAM. You're looking at $550 bare minimum, $650 for anything capable of high fps in MW3.
Update ::: Ok, I'll admit it's not completely pointless considering Linux but 99% of people who post such questions looking for a gaming computer are talking about a computer WITH Windows. Not just parts without an operating system. I consider hardware-only lists for a specific budget misleading.
Does MW3 even run under Wine, and how's performance compared to native Windows? @Oziama, that's a completely pointless post. As others have already mentioned, hardware costs alone come to $500.
Windows is NOT free, you must add $100 for total cost of any computer. So what you've proposed is a $580 build, not a $480 build.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
