Algebra 2 help ((: really lost.... ahhhh?

Well it's pretty much all the same process. So I will explain in detail for the first question so you can apply it to the rest. We're dividing by x+8 so the divisor is represented by a -8.

The dots doesn't mean decimal points, as it's not easy to set it out in the neat way :) -8 | . 1 . 13 .

. 40 ---- . .

. - 8 . - 40 .

. ------------------ . .

. . .1.

. . 5 .

. 0 The steps process: 1) Carry down the leading co-efficient which is 1 and then multiply it by the test root value which is - 8 to find the first intermediate value which is - 8 which is then placed in the next column. 2) Add the two values in the column together which is 13 + - 7 and put the answer which is 5 at the bottom of the column.

Then multiply that by the test root value which is 5 x - 5 to find the next column's intermediate value which is - 40. And just repeat this process. 3) Add the two values in the column together which is 40 + - 40 and put the answer which is 0 at the bottom of the column.

Since the final number is 0 then the divisor is a solution to the polynomial :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
