Another Blackberry vs. iPhone question. Not to sound too glamorous, but which is better when travelling outside the U.S?

A Blackberry. AT&T does not have an unlimited world data plan, so you'll pay crazy roaming charges. Verizon offers an unlimited world data plan for Blackberries for just $60/month ($15 more a month than a domestic unlimited plan).

I was in Europe for three months last year and my Verizon Blackberry had excellent service everywhere - even when I was stranded on the side of the road in a snowstorm in the middle of Austria. In contrast, I was surrounded by people with iPhones who didn't dare use them because it would be so expensive (plus coverage was not as good).

It really depends on where in the world you will be visiting. Given that the iPhone is only available from AT&T, if you are planning a trip to a country wherein the AT&T network is shaky or nonexistant, picking up a Curve or World Phone from one of the other major carriers may offer more flexibility, again, depending on where you will be traveling. Also, you may have more flexibility in your rate plans going with the BlackBerry platform, seeing as your locked iPhone is limited to the plans offered by AT&T.

Another point in the RIM platform's favor is the ability to tether the newer devices for laptop internet connectivity wherever you have cell signal. All bets are off if you are working an "unlocked" iPhone. :).

I have an iPhone, which if you like video games (and I know you do) is the obvious choice. I have an iPhone, which if you like video games (and I know you do) is the obvious choice. You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars.

If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question. Call me crazy, but I already spend way too much time surfing the web and checking email throughout the day. Having the ability to do it anywhere and everywhere would be too tempting to me, so I just have a phone that's a phone and not much else, so I can escape that whole world but for a few hours a day!

If there's something I absolutely must know instantly, I find there's always a friend around who has an iPhone that can look it up for me. I have an iPod touch which is great because I can tote my photos, music, videos, links, maps, and emails around with me, but I don't have to pay for the internet service. It would be nice to have an easier interface for texting and a better way to take photos on my phone, so I'll probably upgrade to the iPhone one day (after they stop being AT&T exclusive). I roll with both. Blackberry Curve and iPhone 3g. 99% of my email is on the Blackberry, and 90% of web surfing is on the iPhone.

I like to have a backup, and if I could only have one it would be the Blackberry. I roll with both. Blackberry Curve and iPhone 3g.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
