Anyone know of a good source of Christian Folk/Pop or Celtic Christian music?

I have a strong affinity for Folk, Folk-Pop, and Folk Rock from the '60s and '70s, and grew up in a church where Christian music of this genre was quite the norm. Today, it seems to be less than a curiosity. I am really looking for the Jesus Movement, Coffee-House, and Folk-type Christian music -- though contemporary Christian Music distrubuters seem almost loathe to stock these genres.

I am also interested in Christian Celtic or British music, ancient or modern -- and folk music that might be considered folk-country-bluegrass crossover -- and similar non-Christian music that isn't too much or too obvious into the druggie scene that has the sound of the '60s and '70s or contemporary. Celtic, Bohemian, Garage band, coffee house -- '60s-'70s or modern folk/rock or Celtic sound -- that's what I'm after. It can be sweet or hard and edgy. Any sources, leads, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Less than a curiosity" I've a cassette tape of "Celtic Music" I never listen to. But one would likely start with Keith Green. My college-years lover had an album of the worship music for a fellowship in Berkeley, CA that I'd never heard of before nor since, but some of the songs on there were really good, very much in that sixties folk vibe.

This is by way of saying how obscure this genre would be. I've little hope of your finding this stuff unless you make it yourself. Thus, I of course didn't find the album, but I did find the link below which purports to be "THE EXHAUSTIVE CHRISTIAN MUSIC DISCOGRAPHY."

You could stroll thru that site to see what they reference. Sources: ccmdiscography.150m.com/ .

2 ME TOO! I hope people start giving tips, I'm anxious to start listening to new stuff! I have already found the Worship Circle albums, (entertheworshipcircle.com/store/index.ph...), The first, second and third worship circle albums are my favorites.

They are modern folk, but great...especially for worship. Also, Kate Hurley, Phill Keaggy, & Fernando Ortega. None are 60s/70s, but Phill.

Also, for non Christian, look up The Be Good Tanyas and Owain Phyfe.

I didn't realize the category existed. " "Is there Christian music for Guitar hero? How do I get it?" ""Religion is for people who are scared of hell, and spirituality is for people who have been through it.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
