There are a lot of family recipes that can be made ahead. If you like lasagna, you will also like cannelloni, manicotti or pasticcio. You can also make spaghetti with meatballs.
Boil the pasta and make the sauce ahead of time and warm them when you are about to serve it. For a rather unique pasta dish, try this ricotta stuffed pasta with premade pasta sauce. Ingredients: - Shell pasta - 8 oz ricotta cheese - Mozarella cheese - Pasta sauce - Parmesan cheese - Parsley, optional Method: - Boil the shell pasta.
Break the ricotta cheese with fork. - Mix the ricotta, parmesan and parsley. Spoon it into each shell.
- Line a baking dish with the pasta sauce. Arrange the stuffed pasta shells and line again with pasta sauce, like you make lasagna. - Top with more sauce and grated mozzarella cheese.
- Bake.
Working in a restaurant taught me a little trick called half cooking. We would prep out bread sticks and pizzas with just cheese on them and we would cook them until they were about five minutes from being done. Then when dinner time comes around, pop it in the oven for a couple more minutes and TA DA!
Dinner in five minutes (seemingly! ) Really you can do it with all sort of things like lasagna but not lasagna; other pastas, casseroles and things like this. I don't know if I would suggest doing this with meat but its up to you.
Bean burritos and Chicken wings are a favorite of mine, also pancakes, hash browns, and other breakfast foods work really well. You might wanna suggest having them cook these things in the oven, it takes a little longer but the microwave makes things chewy and gross. Especially half prepped pizza and pancakes.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
