Apparently today is National Oatmeal Day.... If you could create a National or International Day what would it be?

Somehow we don't always get around to writing our relatives as often as our friends, and many relatives, especially the elderly, can use a "cheer up" letter. Plus they would be more likely to want to hear about family events than friends would, actually.

I would like a national "mental health" day. You just get to stay home from work and do whatever you want. Too often on hoidays like July 4th or Labor day there is too much work being done.

Hosting a BBQ or party can be more stressful than going to work! So on my day you can just sleep late and watch tv in your underwear if you wanted. No pressure, no work, just a day of liesure.

Mine would be National Pizza day! YUMMMMMMMMYYYYYY.

We definitely need a National Beer Day as a Federal Holiday. Beer was probably the main reason for the founding of civilization about 10,000 years ago, yet its celebration is scattered. Iceland has a national Beer Day on March 1.

There has been an attempt at a National Beer Day in England (April 6). In the US there have been occasional efforts such as Milwaukee's celebration of the first repeal of Prohibition type laws. I would propose National Beer Day to be February 29th.It would only come every 4 years, making it more special, and limiting the economic effect of an additional National Holiday.

Also, it would not conflict with any other "Day"s.

youtube.com/watch?v=F0-um0pHTAg National find (or follow) your dream day. It would be a day off work for everyone. If you had a dream, you could spend that day coming up with a plan of action, or investigating several possible dreams, or actually working on their dream. It would be great if people of all ages could write their dreams down and frame them, hang them on the wall.

Your dream can be anything you want. Can you imagine your beloved coming to you and whispering, my dream this year is to spend the whole day alone with you. Oh My.

People need dreams. Without dreams we shrivel and die a little inside. We trudge through each day doing the same old dreary tasks with no hope of ever breaking free and doing something that we truly love with all our hearts.

"You got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?

National Civility Day. For one day, all participants pledge to -- and follow through -- not say or think anything mean-spirited about anybody else, whether it's to their face or behind their back. Of course, in a perfect world we wouldn't even need this "holiday."

But having it exist would mean that at least some people value it.

I would probably try to get the President to recognize and set aside 9-11 as patriot's day. I think it's a shame that more recognition for that day is not available. If I was to make my own holiday, I would choose to comemorate February 6 as National Mutual Respect Day.

The date is the birthday of the late singer Bob Marley.

I would have a National or International MP3 player day. I love my MP3 player and it is the one material object I could not live without. I listen to music when I'm in a good mood, if I'm having a really bad day I pick the songs in my player that are really loud and angry so I can sing along and vent all of my frustration. So yes we definately need an MP3 player day.

National Hypersensitivity Day On this day, and this day alone, we would vent all of our reactions that we had saved up the 12 months prior to ill conceived, poorly timed, goof ball statements made by individuals, some maliciously, some inadvertently, some out of ignorance, others out of innocence, which to some degree, rightfully or wrongfully offended, deprecated or upset any segment of our society. This would save valuable social and media time during the remainder of the year.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
