Are Blu-ray DVD disks THAT much better than regular DVD movies? Would you pick BLU-ray over HD DVD?

1 No clear winner right now. But things are moving faster towards an answer. By and large, Blu-ray has more movies out right now.

But HD-DVD is catching up. And movie companies are starting to not align so closely with any specific format, putting titles out in both. I've heard arguements for both being better, insofar as picture quality, and I don't buy it.

I have a 46" 1080p Samsung LCD, and I can't see a difference. Maybe it's my tv. But it's at the top end of the category, so I'm somewhat doubting that.

If I had to bet, I would pick HD-DVD (which I already did, and love! Although blu-ray is mighty pretty too). The specifics of how the discs are produced seem to lean in their favor.

And their hardware right now is cheaper than Blu-ray. But with so much money in this debate on both sides, I would expect this to drag out for a while. There's always the dual-format players that cost about $1000, but those are a ripoff when you can by hardware for both for less.

I suppose you could wait it out to buy. The thing about waiting it out is, how long are you going to have to wait? .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
