Are the rules covering "Bridge Conventions" NOT the same as "Rules of Bridge"?

Any time you refer to a set of convention or league rules you are talking about rules that that group goes by to maintain some balance with with a large number of people. Rules of Bridge strictly refers to the "How-to" of the game and can be molded to fit your style of playing. Convention rules won't change without the express agreement of the entire convention or governing body.
