Are you are what you are and think what you think, and don't care what other people think when you reach your fifties?

People seem to be taking this as caring what others think is a bad thing. Sometimes it can be very helpful to care what others think. We can't always go where I want to go, eat what I want to eat, and do what I want to do.

That would make for a very lonely existence, I think. I don't think it's helpful to be overly preoccupied about what others think of you personally, however, once decisions are made and consensus is reached (where necessary). I wish I could find the source of this (if anyone knows, help!), so I'm going to have to paraphrase from memory:"When I was a kid, I worried about what my parents thought of me; in my 20's I worried about what my classmates and teachers thought of me; in my 30's I worried about what my bosses and co-workers thought of me; in my 40's I worried about what the neighbors and community thought of me; now - in my 50's - I finally realize that nobody has ever been thinking much about me at all!

Most people by then don't care what others think. In Junior high kids copy others and mold them. To be yourself...since it is YOUR life is best.

When you care what others think it causes some degree of unhappyness in your life. When I turned fifty My Birthday solgan was fifty nifty I don't care about you iffy. I was very tried of people saying If you do this, if you don't do this, If you let this happen, If you care about me, etc, etc, etc!

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
