NO! I know people sometimes desire to remake old movies and turn old tv shows into movies, but it lacks creativity, and for the fans of the old shows and movies, its usually a let down. This movie promises to be no different.
I think they should leave the Karate Kid alone: it lacks creativity. The plot isnt creative. The title isnt even creative.
Besides, Jackie Chan does kung fu, not karate. Aren't there any Japanese masters that could play that role? Here's the plot: "Work causes a single mother to move to China with her young son; in his new home, the boy embraces kung fu, taught to him by a master."
Since its a Chinese master, and it happens in China, and the kid is learning Kung Fu, um, shouldnt they call it the "Kung Fu Kid"? The only redeeming thing I can come up with for this movie is Taraji P. Henson, and Tess Liu!
I might go see it just so I can oogle those two! *wink.
I did expect to see this movie over the weeks and only had some re leaf to see it. The movie comes with an remake where most have pointed out the kind of identity the movie comes with. How ever it does make the life easy for the kid smith to have such a legend along side with him.
I did saw the movie over the past night and it was really been one of the best.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
