Last year I had a problem in Askville, didn't know just how to adjust it and ended up blocking about 2 or 3 members which in turn inadvertently caused hurt and offense to them, all quite unintended by me. Anyways, will try to explain:When I received a notice by a member about "this question might interest you", it appears in my usual Yahoo e-mail address; it also appears in my Askville Inbox; it also appears in the list of questions ongoing on Askv webpage.In order to cut down on the repeated question I felt the only route was to block the member's posting, which I did. Question: How does one select how to 'not receive' a notice and still be a member's friend in Askville?

By blocking the few members I also didn't know that I blocked any compliments from them to me, which I learned of later.By the looks of it, I certainly did 'mess up' and caused hurt feelings unintentionally, so there must be a better way to:1 block the repetition of notices about a question of interest, which it might or might not be.2 have the option to reverse the blocking if needed3 give an option to the receiving member whether or not they wish to receive any notices. I don't think that's available at this time. Hope this is clear as mud?Lol.

I'd sure like to remove the blocked feature I got mixed up with in confusion.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
