At what age can we stop paying child support in TN? 18?

Your court papers will tell you the last year to pay.

However it is disturbing to me that you just want out of it.

If our court papers told us when to stop paying, we would not have asked the question. Thank you for the response however the chld support office has already started the process for us.

The father has paid support every month since this child was born, never late and never thought about not paying, he is now out of a job, we struggle on my salary alone and paying something that we are no longer legally obligated to do is not fair. No where did I say we would ignore the child, he is not going to college, he works and lives at home with his mom and step dad, has medical insurance, so he will not be lacking if we stop paying when we legally can. Also, the mom has no problem with us stopping payments, why should it disturb you?

We have never asked for a modification even tho, the dad has be unable to find work for almost 2 years now, or even when his wages changed. We have paid the same amount for 18 years.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
