I am sick and tired of hearing about Rohit Sharma, Robin uttappa, Raina, Dinesh Karthik, Murali Vijay, Badrinath, etc. They are basically useless cricketers outside the sub-continent. By the way, why is Rohit Sharma always unhappy with the umpire's decision. I know he had a tough call on the first ODI, but in the second ODI, he was plumb in front and still he was shaking his head.
Rohit Sharma failed miserably in South Africa during T20? And so did Raina, Uttappa and a whole bunch of others. And the same bunch who became multi-millionaires tonking the ball outta the park on flat sub-continent pitches, cannot even bat like this no-name-unknown guy Colin Ingrem.
Disgusting. Raina is always expecting a short ball, and therefore he got completely fooled by a fullish length delivery from Tsotsobe. I like Murali Vijay a lot especially for practicing those airy-fairy shots right after he gets out.
He is a consistent performer of those airy-fairy practice shots even if he is an utterly useless player on the cricketing field. I like Rohit Sharma a lot especially for always disagreeing with the umpire. In the first ODI, he did get a raw deal.
So yes, it was ok to be disappointed....but certainly not the way he was standing at the crease and all. In the second ODI, Rohit was plumb in front, yet he was completely disappointed once again with the decision! Rohit is a consistent performer of displaying disappointment, even if he is an utterly useless player on the cricketing field.
The true success of Indian team belongs to the Test players. Look at Dravid or Laxman. They always felt comfortable even in the toughest of conditions.
Yes, Dravid didn;t score many runs. But surely no one will accuse Dravid of being incompetent in South African pitches. Ok, here's my India Team XI 1.
Sachin Tendulkar 2. Virender Sehwag 3. Gautham Gambhir 4.
Yuvraj Singh 5. Suresh Raina 6. M.
S Dhoni 7. Yusuf Pathan 8. Harbhajan Singh 9.
Zaheer Khan.
Totally agreed with Equity_1 observations. Good analysis & bare facts.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
