I felt incredibly frantic when I started watching the movie 'Mysterious Skin'. It sickened me. I don't know if it counts really because I didn't even watch it to the end, but I just couldn't deal with the child molestation storyline.
It seemed so horrible. I don't think I've ever felt that intense when watching any movie really. The horror movie 'Eden Lake' springs to mind as well though, it was so horrific, so realistic and so brutal that I still remember the shell-shocked, empty feeling I had when it ended.
The movie 'King Kong' as sad as it sounds, also had a bad effect on me. I thought it was absolutely traumatising to see such a beautiful, intelligent beast being treated in the way he did. People may laugh (they HAVE laughed!) but I found it to be a genuinely depressing movie.
And I've only ever watched it once, never though myself able to watch it again. You had good examples by the way! I know what you mean.
Gran Torino, I do actually get nervous before the ending, knowing what happens. I swear you can even feel your heart beat increase! BQ: The movie Mysterious Skin, I never even completed watching, so yes, A LOT of motivation would be needed to watch it fully.
I don't think I'd be keen on the idea. BBQ: Harry Brown. I didn't cry when watching this British 'equivelent' of Gran Torino, but wow it was bleak.
So bleak and horrible. Same with the movie 'Happiness' about warped sexual fetishes (as far as I could see anyway) it's not a sad movie, just twisted in places and rather depressing. Have a lovely weekend too sunshine :).
Big Fish and One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest. I get that nervous feeling you do once One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest starts. That movie is a roller coaster.
BQ- No, Both my my favorite movies.. BBQ- Trees Lounge. It doesn't make me cry, just utterly sad. Also Paris Texas.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
