Calling Chefs of Askville! Hank's in the kitchen...how do you bake Pork Chops?

Calling Chefs of Askville! Hank's in the kitchen...how do you bake Pork Chops? So I picked up some nice looking Pork Chops with a Parmesan crust on them.

I tried to do these on the barbie once and that didn't go very well, so I'm thinking baking is the way to go. These are some pretty healthy Pork Chops, about an inch thick. How long should I put them in the oven for and at what temperature?

We also have a convection option, should I use that? Mondo thanks and five stars to any helpful cook who can get Hanky Hank out of this kitchen bind! Asked by HankMoody 38 months ago Similar questions: Calling Chefs Askville Hank's kitchen bake Pork Chops Food & Drink > Cooking.

Okay This is a cut and paste answer.... I hardly ever do this for recipes, but your need it quick and I don't want to take the time to look it up in all my books. I picked this one because it's for a recipe similar to what you have. Just disregard the preparation and go right to the sauteeing and baking part.

If yours turns out good then you might try this one from Epicurious. Com Paremsan Crusted Pork Chops 1 1/2 cups fresh breadcrumbs made from crustless French bread 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (about 3 ounces) 1 tablespoon dried rubbed sage 1 teaspoon grated lemon peel 2 large eggs 1/4 cup all purpose flour 4 bone-in center-cut pork loin chops (each about 1 inch thick) 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter 2 tablespoons olive oil Preheat oven to 425°F. Mix breadcrumbs, cheese, sage and lemon peel in pie dish.

Whisk eggs in medium bowl to blend. Place flour on plate; season generously with salt and pepper. Coat pork chops on both sides with flour; shake off excess.

Dip chops into eggs, then coat on both sides with breadcrumb mixture. Melt butter with oil in heavy large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops to skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.

Transfer skillet with pork to oven. Bake until pork chops are crisp on the outside and meat thermometer inserted into pork registers 150°F, about 20 minutes. Transfer pork chops to plates.

Hope this helps you Hank. Sources: Epicurious. Com .

I'll keep this simple. Ü you need: 4-6 boneless pork loin chops 1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 1/2 cups of pork broth or water 1 pkg. Onion soup mix salt and pepper directions: preheat oven to 350°F.

Place chops in baking dish. In bowl, combine soups with water, add pinch of salt and pepper. Pour mixture over chops cover with foil and bake for 30-45 minutes, depending on thickness of chops, 1 hour max. Serve hot.

No need for gravy since this dish creates its own sauce. Best served with rice. Bon appetit!?

Everyone should have one... cook them in a shallow pan at 350 degrees F. Use your meat thermometer so you know when they've reached an internal temp of 160 (you can estimate between 45 and 60 minutes for meal planning). Cooking by time and temp is inaccurate at best.

It can lead to over-cooked meats that end up tough and not so enjoyable. There are so many variables from one piece of meat to another that the surest way to ensure good outcome is to use internal temperature to determine when you're done cooking. I'll attach a couple suggestions from Amazon (which is because it's easy to do here) but you can find these devices even at a grocery store... definitely at a kitchen store.

And they're relatively inexpensive. Like anything, you can go for a basic model or get the luxury edition (which has some advantages, but does the exact same job as the base models). Bon Appetit!

The nice thing about the higher-priced one is that you can leave the probe in the meat during cooking and it will sound an alarm when it reaches a set temperature..

1 I'm not sure about the parmesan crust thing, but we buy thick cut pork chops a lot. I dredge them in a beaten egg & then in finely crushed cracker crumbs. I put on some garlic salt & Mrs. Dash & bake them at 350° for about an hour.

They're SO tender. I spray the tops good with Pam so they won't dry out. That's MY suggestion, anyway.

Good luck.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
