Can anyone suggest a really, really in-depth source for info on music from 1968 (please see details)... I'm aware of the info on Wikipedia and answers.com etc but if you can help with info on websites or books which dig deep into 1968 music - albums (obscure and well-known) of all genres, singles, movie music, TV music - that would be great! What a great year! First, Huckleberry Hound is one of my all-time favorite cartoon characters! I miss that cartoon.

I have spent much of my life researching this subject, mostly because I was a disc jockey for 30-years. The last half of my career was spent as an "oldies" deejay. Then I worked as a feature producer researching and writing vignettes about the '60s and '70s.

Check out the Rolling Stone website - rollingstone.com - they started publishing in 1968 and all their back issues are archived on the website.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
